Description

About vegetal leather: VEGETAL is the epitome of authentic leather. Considered “naked”, it’s just as nature intended and is the type of Aniline leather that will develop a lovely, natural patina depending on its use. -True to its name, VEGETAL is purely vegetable-tanned with extracts from the mimosa plant and is an extremely high quality, un-dyed leather we feature in its original colour, which actually becomes a beautiful light nut-brown colour. The colour emerges from the tanning agent starting with a very light tone, which then becomes a pale pink, later transforming into a light, nut-brown. Each hide is unique with natural markings. As a result, there will be colour variations from hide to hide. -Soft, subtle and susceptible to light, watch the patina that will appear over time, bringing even more character to a classic leather that’s truly a beauty. -Adding to VEGETAL’s purity is the fact that less than 1% of all hides in the world can be used for this type of leather. To feature VEGETAL in our collection reflects our high standards. -Origin Finest European rawhide from cattle grazed on the Alpine meadows spanning Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein and Italy -Surface Natural surface with subtle markings -Finish None -Tannage Vegetable-tanned with extracts from the mimosa plant, it transforms over time in three phases: from its original light colour to a very pale pink to a lovely light brown -Dye None -Particular attributes Exclusive, considered the original “naked” leather. A natural patina will appear over time, depending on exposure to light and conditions of use.
